Trunk or Treat CapCity Style
October 31st, 2017
Trunk or Treat is an annual community-wide event held at Capital City Christian Church. It takes an enormous amount of manpower to make this event a success. There are several ways you can help.
Everyone can bring candy. We'll begin officially collecting candy in October but we'll take it anytime you want to bring it in.
Take a moment to study your options for serving at the event. Some activities are easier than others. Here's a brief description of each:
Decorate a table and pass out candy - Just like it sounds. Come up with a theme (try to connect it to Jesus or a Bible story) and decorate away! We'll supply the candy, but you're welcome to bring some as well.
October 30 Set up - Come over after work on the 30th and help set up walkways throughout the building. We also add signage and barriers to help with crowd flow.
October 31 Set up - Come over early on the 31st and help set up walkways throughout the building. We also add signage and barriers to help with crowd flow.
Inflatables - Cover the inflatables in the parking lot making sure kids are safe as they enjoy the evening.
Games - Cover the games in the gym and pass out prizes.
Face Paint - Got painting ability? Kids love it and so do some of the adults!
Parking - Direct traffic so it flows smoothly and ensures our visitors have a great experience at TorT.
Selfie Station - Decorate our selfie station for 2017!
Candy room - Did you ever wonder where that candy hides during TorT? If you're a candy room attendant or Candy runner (great job for a few middle school kids), then you'll know!
Greeter - Help with crowd flow and questions so everyone knows what to expect.
Food - Hot dogs and buns and the fixin's!
Snacks - Would you rather try your hand at snocones or popcorn? Maybe you'd like to make some cotton candy! This is the place to try your hand with these favorite confections!
October 31st teardown - Louie and Dustin could use your help getting the gym cleaned up so others can use it the next morning! Many hands make light work so pitch in and help make it an early departure!
November 1st teardown/clean up - All those chairs in the Worship Center have to go back. So do all those tables that had treats on them. Don't forget the vacuuming and trash clean up that comes with an event like this!
